Oily Parish's Art in Situ
Oily Parish is a formally trained printmaker. Her natural surroundings in Kenya, as a child, became her constant source of inspiration and the animals that she became acquainted with take centre stage in her work.
Having studied at Falmouth School of Art, Oily Parish discovered the art of printmaking. She became fascinated with the traditional methods of printing: the techniques, the versatility of the medium, its unpredictable yet exciting qualities. “I love the alchemy of the process of printmaking and the anticipation of the end result”.
