MERAKI

From the Greek language, Meraki means to act with passion, love and devotion, leaving a piece of yourself in whatever you create.  This perfectly encapsulates Henrie Haldane’s approach to painting.  With a deep sense of love for her intricate painting process, every brushstroke feels intentional.  Henrie pours her passion and a part of her soul into each and every canvas.

Henrie’s inspiration has always manifested itself in nature: vast expanses of impressive skies, or dramatic seas.  This latest collection sees a return to her fascination with the lotus flower, water lilies and of continually moving waters, with her constant exploration of light, colour and depth.  Each work projects her signature rhythm and flow through the canvas, as if the paint is dancing on its surface, creating a beautiful calm energy.
