The client wanted to source a small, unusual work for a mantelpiece in the drawing room of a country home. The property combined period architecture, with a contemporary interior. There was no specification for painting or sculpture, but the work needed to compliment the existing palette of the room.
By commissioning Michelle McKinney to create a bespoke piece of art, the client was able to see similar grey and purple tones of the room reflected in the art work. Michelle’s work merges the boundaries of painting and sculpture, creating a more three-dimensional piece for the room.
